After a careful study of the Barotseland Agreement of 1964, we demand a supplementary Agreement to include the following points:-
This country to retain its name BAROTSELAND.
Barotseland and Zambia should be two countries and two nations closely associated, that is a Mulozi in not alien in Zambia and the same way a Zambian is not alien in Barotseland.
Citizenship: MULOZI
and Nationality
National Flag: The Union Jack to be replaced by the Barotse National flag.
Land Appeals; All should have the right of appeal to the Barotseland High Court.
No Land in Barotseland can be used or given for and purpose without full consultation with and the consent of the Litunga on the advise of his Privy Council. Therefore, Barotseland should have Lands Department of its own.
Possession of Arms and Ammunition permits should be Authorised by the Litunga on the recommendation of the Kutas Concerned.
Any question concerning the interpretation of the original( Barotseland Agreement of 1964) and Supplementary Agreement should be referred to an International Arbitrator.
Passports with symbols of Elephant and Eagle for Barotseland and Zambia respectively.
The Litunga as king of Barotseland should continue to by styled as such and not as Principal Local Authority.
Every man who is granted audience with the king of Barotseland should approach and great him according to his tribal or national form of royal salute.
Barotseland to have her own territorial forces in addition to the overall defence.
Appointments and dismissals of chiefs, Traditional Indunas, Village Headmen, and those holding other important posts should, as it was before, be made by the Litunga on the advise of his Privy Council.
